Before photographers, illustrators were in charge of covering Fashion Week, sketching the new collections as the models hit the runway.
Keeping this in mind, over the years, Francesco has been documenting several fashion shows, mostly during Paris and London Fashion Week, sketching during the shows, backstage and fittings.
In a much-digitalised world, this is a unique point of view on the shows and also a nod to the past and the golden age of illustration.
From an artistic point of view, creating one-of-a-kind coverage for fashion shows has been one of the personal favourite and most challenging activities for Francesco.
This granted him the chance to sketch during Hermès, Dior, Margiela, Vivienne Westwood, Dries Van Noten, Jacquemus and Saint Laurent shows while creating exclusive series and illustrated coverages in collaboration with JW Anderson, Off-White, Nicopanda, Alexander McQueen, Loewe, Lou Dalton and more.
Check out the following short videos and the gallery below to have a glimpse of his work backstage and during the shows, and feel free to reach out to Francesco if you'd like to book his services.
