“Though the future seems uncertain for all of us, from dark matter comes light.”

Here's a quick sketch that I created during the GMBH Autumn/Winter 2020 fashion show, the Berlin-based collective founded by Serhat Isik and Benjamin Huseby.

For this season, GMBH goes back to the basics of the whole universe. The collection is indeed titled YLEM, after that moment in time that came right after the birth of the universe, when all matter was created.

The Autumn/Winter 2020 collection is a chance for both designers, who have explored their own origins, to find common roots and create a sense of community as humans.

The show was also enhanced by the presence of contra-tenor Steve Katona, who started singing in the middle of the catwalk while rocking one of the looks of the collection, creating a very special and intimate moment.

This sketch, created during the show, is part of my Paris Fashion Week AW20 live illustrated coverage for L'Officiel Hommes Italia.
