During London Fashion Week, I had the honour to be invited to the Smythson Autumn / Winter 2019 Presentation. The collection, the first one under the new Creative Director Luc Goidadin, was unveiled in the Portico Rooms of Somerset House, where a Surrealist and elegant setting was recreated.

The rooms were filled with sumptuous furnishings, that looked like floating in a garden pond, ancient sculptures, boats with silk sails and paper birds with notebooks for wings. In this dream-like setting, the collection, consisting of leather goods, homewares, stationery and soft furnishings, was beautifully unveiled.

It was such a pleasure to be able to sketch during this dreamy and elegant presentation, and it was surely a breath of fresh air during the madness of London Fashion Week shows.
