I had the extreme pleasure of working with Dries Van Noten, a brand I've loved and admired for a long time for its unique, uncompromising and beautiful aesthetic, it was truly a wonderful honour to team up with them, especially in Tokyo.

I've collaborated with the beauty division of Dries Van Noten during a lovely two-day event at the NEWoMan Takanawa department store, where the brand opened its first corner in Japan in September, following the launch of the beauty line at its flagship Aoyama store.
This was also my first official live event in Japan; it was very emotional to start this chapter with Dries Van Noten and I am deeply grateful to the Japanese brand team for trusting me with this task and project.
I worked with Dries Van Noten for two days at NEWoMan Takanawa, where I created quick portraits of guests and beloved customers of the Belgian house, who previously booked a slot for their bespoke session, all while trying out their elegant line of lipsticks, known for their artistic packaging and fashion-forward shades.

The two-day event became even more memorable when I learned that I was the very first illustrator to work at a Dries Van Noten event in Japan, I am so proud of this, and I will definitely treasure this moment for many years to come!
Even though I have minimal knowledge of Japanese, I was able to enjoy my time with the guests, who were incredibly kind and grateful. Everyone was really pleased with their portraits, which made the experience even more special: art is a universal language.
I also want to thank the whole in-store Dries Van Noten team for taking such great care of me during these two days. I'm so grateful and happy that the experience was a success for everyone.
Please feel free to take a moment to explore the gallery below, which features further highlights from the two-day events:
