KOCHÉ SS20

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

This is a very quick drawing of model Mara Novaes that I created backstage last September before the Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show of KOCHÉ.

The show took place in one of my favourite place in Paris, the Centre Pompidou, the modern art museum. Precisely, its library was the chosen venue, it was also the first time it was used for a fashion show. Models were carrying a book in the finale, to highlight how dear this place is to Christelle Kocher, the creative director of the label.

For Spring/Summer 2020, KOCHÉ, who has recently won the prestigious ANDAM Prize, keeps building on her peculiar wardrobe, mixing couture and streetwear, without forgetting her sustainable mission.

I have been following KOCHÉ for a while now, sketching also during her two last shows, and every time it is such a pleasure, because of the attention to details, the huge use of accessories and jewellery: it's always fun as an illustrator.

This sketch, created backstage, is part of my Paris Fashion Week SS20 live illustrated coverage for L'Officiel Italia.
