A very quick sketch from the Kiko Kostadinov Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show, one of my favourite collections of London Fashion Week this season. I was quite drawn to the contemporary cuts, the great attention to the details and the clever colour palette.
This is the third womenswear collection for Kiko Kostadinov, originally born as a menswear brand, the women's line is now in the hands of talented sisters Deanna and Laura Fanning.
The Spring/Summer 2020 collection is meant as a spiritual journey and so the circle, a perfect and finite form, is a leitmotif across the whole collection: in the garments, the jewellery and also the hairstyle.
Kiko Kostadinov SS20 is also rich in collaborations, starting with artist Rosie Grace Ward, who not only directly worked on some jewellery pieces, but was also in charge of the set design, that consisted of a pair of column sculptures. Shoes and performance apparel were created in collaboration with Asics and Camper.
This sketch, created during the catwlk show, is part of my London Fashion Week SS20 live illustrated coverage for L'Officiel Italia.
