HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE SS20

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

After staging the first presentation last January, in the Centre Pompidou, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE comes back as part of the official Paris Fashion Week schedule.

"A Walk in the Park", the new collection, is presented once again as an art performance under the creative direction of choreographer Daniel Ezralow, this time staged in the iconic Place des Vosges.

The performance, an ode to energy and freedom, started as a runway show, but soon models were joined by dancers and percussionists who, by the end of the show, invited people in the crowd to dance as well and to be part of the event itself.

The aim of this particular line of ISSEY MIYAKE has always been to free the way men dress, based on the research the designer himself has been doing since 1988. Just like the performance recalled, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE is made for everyone and for any moment, to brighten up our everyday life with clothes that are practical, original and beautiful.

This sketch, created during the show, is part of my Paris Fashion Week SS20 live illustrated coverage for L'Officiel Hommes Italia.
