This is a very quick sketch I created live on Day 1 of London Fashion Week, the first one from my illustrated coverage of the AW19 shows.

After a brief break from the catwalk, Mark Fast comes back stronger than ever, kicking off London Fashion Week with a dreamy fashion show. The Autumn/Winter 2019 collection draws inspiration from the Golden age of Hollywood films such as "Gentlemen prefer blondes" and "What a way to go".

Then, actresses such as Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth become the muses for his catwalk show as well, with models rocking typical hairstyles from that era.

During the last few years, Mark Fast has kept improving his technique working on new ways to showcase his brand. For this season, Fast introduces a vibrant colour palette and rich textures. In his most recent collection, the designer avoids all seams creating a new seamless bodycon silhouette. The result is elegant, sophisticated and timeless.
