This is a very quick sketch that I started during the long-awaited Autumn/Winter 2019 catwalk show of Bobby Abley, on day one of London Fashion Week Men's.

The collection main inspiration is the colourful world of Pokémon: a larger than life Pikachu was also in charge to close the show! The Pokémon characters declined the colour palette of the garments: soft lilac, bright oranges, powdery blues and yellows. Prints of Charmander, Mewtwo, Pikachu, Squirtle and the Poké Ball can be found throughout the collection.

Another inspiration is Scarborough, the designer's hometown, where the collection was created with the help of his family and relatives, especially on the knitwear pieces. A cameo by Christina Aguilera, one of Abley's constant inspirations, comes in a boxy leather jacket with the singer's portrait.
