ADAM JONES AW19

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

"I celebrate the mundane nuances of everyday life on the street, on the bus, in the markets, in the pub."

If you have been following me on Instagram, you may already be aware: London Fashion Week Men's has started! And so my live sketching during catwalk shows, presentations and backstage. In the next few days, I will share here on the blog all the live sketches that I've done during these three amazing days!

Kicking off the Discovery Lab for the Autumn/Winter 2019 season is emerging designer Adam Jones, who graduated from Manchester School of Art, who has already worked for the likes of Christopher Shannon and was mentored by the late Judy Blame.

Originally a womenswear brand only, Adam Jones has recently embraced menswear as well, noticing how his designs were quite often styled on men and bought by men.

With about fifty pieces, the collection felt quite inspired, drawing inspiration from the decay and disorder of London, its chaotic beauty, its punk scene and the Japanese Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, centred on the acceptance of imperfection.
