This is a very quick watercolour sketch that I did during the Spring/Summer 2019 Wesley Harriott presentation "You can (not) be everything", the first one as part of the London Fashion Week official schedule since the London-born designer founded his own brand two years ago.
Wesley Harriott designs embody the strength and resilience of the powerful female figures met during his life. For SS19, Ricky Wesley Harriott explores all the expectations felt by women in our society. Those expectations unavoidably present constant contradictions in what women feel the need to be rather than what they would love to be.
Wesley Harriot has also recently won the ASOS Fashion Discovery competition, that will allow the young designer to be stocked by the famous online shopping service for at least two seasons.
