VIN + OMI SS19

Updated: Aug 11, 2021

"Thinking about what we wear; what we throw away. Thinking about what we buy. We all have think more responsibly now. Thought is the new religion."

On September 13th, VIN + OMI opened London Fashion Week with its largest show to date. In order to present their Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the designer duo took over the St Pancras International station with an exclusive show that included models wearing huge poodle wigs coming out from a Routemaster red bus!

The show was for sure a big and energetic opening number for London Fashion Week, but it highlighted also the eco-sensitivity that's been the core of the brand since the beginning.

The collection bags, for example, are the result of a collaboration with the London College of Fashion that started during the last London Fashion Week Men's. Waste plastic bottles from the event have been collected and later processed into durable textiles.

Another collaboration, with homeless charities in Birmingham, gives new life to waste cans to create a new metal fabric used for the SS19 collection.

Last but not least, the event was a joyous one, VIN + OMI want fashion to be fun! And what's more fun than dressing like a show poodle and still be eco-conscious?
